Now–Oct 31: Ambassadors for Children (AFC) is collecting Christmas wish lists from children and youth in foster care and matching them with generous sponsors. Each child does not just receive “a toy”—they receive gifts selected specifically for them, reminding them they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
“Christmas can be especially difficult for children in foster care, many of whom are navigating uncertainty, separation, and loss,” said Amanda Ingle, Program Director for Ambassadors for Children. “Through the generosity of sponsors, we’re able to provide more than a few presents — we provide a message to each child that they matter, they are loved, and they will not be forgotten.”

What Happens Next
After gifts are delivered to Crosslines, our volunteers (“elves!”) sort and label each set to ensure at least one of the child’s most-hoped-for items is included. Caseworkers will pick up and distribute gifts the week of December 8th.
