At Ambassadors for Children (AFC), our mission is simple, but powerful: to restore dignity to every local youth in foster care.
Too often, children enter foster care with nothing more than a grocery sack of belongings, leaving behind not only their homes and families, but also a sense of identity and self-worth. AFC, a compassionate outreach of Crosslines Community Outreach, exists to change that narrative.
Through your support, children and teens in foster care receive new clothes, shoes, personal care items, and access to critical services like therapy and extracurricular activities. These aren’t just things—they’re tools that allow youth to express their personalities, build self-esteem, and reclaim their voice.
Whether a child is living in a foster home, group setting, or independent living, AFC is here to serve every youth in Greene, Christian, and Taney counties.
This spring, we launched a bold campaign to raise $50,000 by May 31, supported by a generous matching gift from longtime AFC champions, Bill and Virginia Darr. We’re thrilled to share—we did it!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, these funds will make a life-changing difference for countless children in care. But the work isn’t over.
